Fueled by a five-run first inning, Brookfield outlasted Princeton, 7-5, in Saturday's weather-shortened Nan Carter softball tournament. Mya Sackrey stroked a triple, was hit by a pitch, had a stolen base and scored two runs, and Emma Sensenich knocked in two runs and earned the win on the mound with two strikeouts.
Emree Littrell (2B, BB) and Hadlye Sackrey (1B, BB) each collected a hit and run, while "Queen" Maddie Wilbeck had an RBI, and Kylin King, Jerzi Fields and Greenlee McCollum scored a run apiece.
The Bulldogs (7-4) host Marceline tonight.
