Following a competitive first half, Macon slipped away and knocked off Brookfield, 52-38, in Friday's girls varsity conference basketball action.

Jerzi Fields (5 rebounds, 2 assists, steal, block) scored 11 points for the Bulldogs, who trailed by just four points, 24-20, at the break.

Maddie Wilbeck (3 assists, 2 rebounds) netted eight points, while Madi Lumsden (8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals) had seven points, and Maggie Bennett (3 rebounds, steal) and Greenlee McCollum (2 rebounds, 2 assists, steal) each added five points. Gracyn Beckman (3 rebounds, assist) chipped in two points, and Breckin Thudium and Emma Sensenich pulled down three rebounds and one rebound, respectively.

The Lady Bulldogs (7-15, 1-5 CCC) welcome Fayette tonight.
