The Bulldogs have won two games in a row, routing Palmyra 42-22 two weeks ago, and blanking Macon, 34-0 this past Friday. The Bulldogs' balanced offense, which averaged 415 total yards the past two contests, is a big reason for their recent success.
Trayce Switzer threw for 230 yards on 15-of-23 passing with three touchdowns against Palmyra. Peyton Parn caught eight passes for 136 yards and three TDs and rushed for another score. Colton Parn recorded 107 yards rushing and a TD, 105 yards receiving and passed for 47 yards and a TD. Hayden DeJong caught two passes for 26 yards and a TD.
The trend continued against Macon, as Colton Parn continued to display his versatility with 88 rushing yards and 38 receiving yards, while passing for 56 yards and three TDs. Switzer was 17-of-23 for 203 yards passing with a TD, while Peyton Parn caught six passes for 163 yards and two TDs, and John Walgren caught three passes and a TD. Shady McCormick caught a 10-yard TD pass, and Kendrell Carter rushed for 55 yards and added a TD run. The Bulldogs' defense joined the party, limiting Macon to 164 yards and forcing 3 turnovers.
Brookfield (3-3, 2-2 District) looks to continue its winning ways at Monroe City (5-2, 3-2 District), 36-34 winners against Palmyra last week, on Friday night.
