South Shelby capitalized on a solid scoring night and Brookfield's tepid touch, cruising to a 71-38 win in last night's boys varsity action.

The Cardinals shot 53% from the floor, scoring 34 points in the paint, while limiting the Bulldogs to under 28% shooting. The 'Dogs were 4-of-22 beyond the arc.

Hayden DeJong (5 steals, 4 rebounds, 2 assists) paced the Bulldogs with 15 points, and Hank Parks (6 rebounds, assist) added 14 points.

Phoenix Jordan (5 rebounds, assist) scored five points, while John Walgern (rebound, steal) knocked down a three, and Bryson Shoop (rebound) had two points.

Riley Hinckle (rebound, assist), Ross Ehrich (rebound, assist) and Kendrell Carter (rebound) also contributed.

The Bulldogs (7-13, 1-4 CCC) travel to Lawson tonight.
