Despite a considerable size disadvantage, particularly down low, Brookfield gave Penney all it could handle before succumbing, 57-46, in last night's boys varsity basketball matchup.

The Bulldogs, who were outrebounded 54-15, rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit, drawing to within four points entering the final period, before the Hornets gradually pulled away.

Bryson Shoop (5 steals, rebound, assist) scored 14 points, while John Walgren (5 rebounds, 3 assists, steal) added a season-high 13 points.

Hank Parks (4 assists, rebound) scored seven points, and Phoenix Jordan (2 steals, rebound) and Hayden DeJong (7 rebounds, assist, steal) each scored six points. Kendrell Carter dished three assists.

The Bulldogs (2-6) welcome Gallatin on Friday.
