Wasting a strong start, Brookfield was derailed by cold shooting, falling, 66-33, to Centralia in last night's varsity boys basketball matchup.
The Bulldogs led 14-12 after the opening quarter, but scored just 19 points in the final 24 minutes, shooting a frigid 24% from the floor.
Hank Parks (5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks) scored 11 points, and Bryson Shoop (2 rebounds, assist) added nine points for the 'Dogs, who managed six blocked shots, led by John Walgren, who had a workmanlike effort with three blocks to go along with six points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Hayden DeJong (2 rebounds, assist, steal) scored five points, and Kendrell Carter (rebound, assist, block) added two points. Phoenix Jordan had two rebounds, and Ross Ehrich had one board.
The Bulldogs (6-11) visit Brunswick Thursday night.
