Brunswick broke open a competitive contest, coasting to a 58-38 win against Brookfield in varsity boys basketball last night.
Thye Bulldogs trailed by only eight at the half, but the Wildcats began to ease away in the third quarter, before closing it out with a 20-11 run in the final eight minutes.
Hayden DeJong (3 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks, assist) led the 'Dogs with 11 points, and Hank Parks (6 rebounds, 3 assists, steal, block) and Phoenix Jordan (4 rebounds) each scored seven points. Bryson Shoop (2 rebounds, steal) had five points, while Kendrell Carter (7 rebounds, 2 steals) and John Walgren (3 rebounds, 3 assists) added four points apiece. Ross Ehrich pulled down a rebound.
The Bulldogs (6-12) welcome Clark County tonight.
